Genetics Rap "White Iverson"

Genetics Rap "White Iverson"

In this blog I will be telling you about the Genetics Rap I plan to write to the tune of the rap "White Iverson". I will be telling the phases of mitosis and meiosis though the song and will also be explaining genotype and phenotype. I hope that the song will become a big hit and will teach people about genetics.

Genetics
Got some new genes

Mitosis
When it started happening I was young
It divided my parents cells
Into two identical daughter cells
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’ to you
It’s
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’ to you

I got some DNA and I got some Cells
Started going through interphase when I was young
Then I started replicatin’ my DNA
(This is actually happening)
It ain't done yet and prophase is next
See we start to see all the chromosomes
The nuclear envelope breaks down
Can’t see it
The nucleolus has gone away
And you it's really happening
The spindle fibers start to fo-orm
We’re almost done 5 more phases
Let’s keep going and finish this off

Mitosis
When it started happening I was young
It divided my parents cells
Into two identical daughter cells
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’ to you
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’
It’s happenin’ to you

Phenotype and a genotype
Genes, genes in me man
Punnett squares all around me man
Blue eyes and a head man
